1. What is the MFR of PP L5E89?
The melt flow rate (MFR) of PP L5E89 is approximately 3.0g/10min (230℃/2.16kg). It is ideal for drawing, extrusion, flat filament, monofilament, and woven products. It is not suitable for high-speed injection molding, as it may cause material shortage or rough product surfaces.
2. Can L5E89 PP resin be used for food contact?
Yes. PP L5E89 from regular large manufacturers (Shenhua, Baofeng, PetroChemical) meets food-grade PP standards (FDA/REACH compliant), is non-toxic and odorless, and can be used for food packaging, lunch boxes, and woven bags for grains.
3. Is PP L5E89 weather-resistant?
PP L5E89 raffia grade has general weather resistance. For long-term outdoor use, it is recommended to add antioxidants, UV stabilizers or use weather-resistant modified grades. Adding 2–3% carbon black can significantly improve its outdoor service life, preventing degradation caused by sunlight and humidity.
