What Are Excellent Performance of Hostalen 23050 B PE100?

>> Superior Long-Term Pressure Resistance and Creep Resistance

As a PE100 grade HDPE, its long-term hydrostatic strength (MRS) reaches 10 MPa. Under 20℃and 50-year long-term service conditions, it can withstand working pressures up to 1.6 MPa, far exceeding ordinary PE80 grade materials. Simultaneously, 23050 B PE100 granule possesses excellent creep resistance. Under long-term high-pressure loads, the pipe is less prone to slow deformation and failure, ensuring the stability of pipeline systems in complex geological and pressure fluctuation environments, making it particularly suitable for large-diameter, long-distance water and gas transmission trunk pipelines.

Its Environmental Stress Cracking (ESCR) time far exceeds 10,000 hours, and its resistance to rapid crack propagation (RCP) and slow crack growth (SCG) reaches international top-level standards. It performs excellently in full-notch creep tests (FNCT) and notched pipe tests (CT), effectively resisting crack initiation and propagation caused by hard object abrasion during construction, soil stress, and long-term media corrosion, fundamentally eliminating the risk of brittle pipe fracture and significantly reducing pipeline leakage and maintenance costs.

Mechanical Strength: Density approximately 0.950 g/cm³, tensile yield stress up to 22–24 MPa, elongation at break >500%, possessing both high rigidity and high toughness, adaptable to dynamic stresses such as soil settlement and geological movement, and excellent impact resistance.

Weather Resistance and Aging Resistance: The formula incorporates high-efficiency carbon black and thermo-oxidative stabilizers, providing excellent resistance to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and heat aging. It is resistant to aging and degradation under both outdoor exposure and underground burial, with an oxidation induction time (OIT) greater than 25 minutes, ensuring long-term stability of the pipes under extreme climatic conditions.

Chemical Corrosion Resistance: It exhibits excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and most organic solvents at room temperature, requiring no additional anti-corrosion treatment. It is suitable for transporting corrosive fluids such as industrial wastewater, chemical media, and seawater.

Excellent Processing Compatibility: The product’s melt flow index (190℃/5kg) is 0.23–0.25 g/10min, exhibiting high viscosity and low sag characteristics. It has a wide processing window and strong stability. It is compatible with extrusion molding processes, enabling efficient production of pipes in all specifications from DN20 to DN2000mm. Especially in the production of large-diameter pipes, it effectively suppresses sag, ensuring uniform pipe wall thickness and precise roundness. Meanwhile, the product possesses excellent weldability, supporting mainstream construction techniques such as butt welding and electrofusion, resulting in high connection strength and good sealing performance, and is compatible with modern, efficient construction technologies such as trenchless laying.
