PP MFR10

What Is PP MFR10

PP MFR10 refers to a polypropylene resin with a melt index of 10g/10min (typically tested at 230°C/2.16 kg). This PP MFR10 film grade offers a perfect balance of flow, mechanical strength, and processing properties, making it a preferred material for film extrusion, particularly for applications requiring superior mechanical properties.

Excellent properties of PPH MFR10 in Film Applications

High impact and puncture resistance. The strong interchain interactions allow the film to withstand strong external impacts and punctures from sharp objects, significantly reducing package breakage.

Excellent tensile strength and rigidity. The film resists excessive elongation or deformation under load, ensuring package stiffness and stability, facilitating smooth operation on high-speed automatic packaging machines.

Excellent process adaptability. The flowability of PP MFR10 resin is well-suited for both blown and cast film processes. In blown film, it provides sufficient melt strength, a stable bubble, and easy control of film thickness uniformity. In cast film, it achieves excellent flattening and minimizes necking.

Excellent optical properties. By selecting the appropriate catalyst and process, PPH MFR10 or PPR MFR10 can be produced into highly transparent, low-haze films, meeting the aesthetic requirements of product display packaging.

Reliable heat-sealing performance. Both homopolymer and copolymer grades, MFR10 polypropylene exhibits excellent heat-sealing properties. By adjusting the comonomer content, lower sealing temperatures and wider heat-sealing windows can be achieved, adapting to the demands of high-speed packaging lines.

Uses of MFR10 Polypropylene Resin in Film Producing Fields

Heavy-duty packaging bags. These large-volume packaging for fertilizers, feed, chemical raw materials, and rice requires extremely high drop and tear resistance.

Food packaging films. These films are used for packaging flour, sugar, and grains, requiring excellent strength and moisture resistance. Highly transparent grades are used for outer packaging of snacks, bread, and candy.

File folder pockets. By selecting high-quality random copolymer polypropylene, highly transparent, low-haze films can be produced, ensuring clear visibility of documents and a neat, attractive appearance.

Industrial stretch film. Although specialized stretch films may have a higher melt index, some high-strength stretch films are made from materials with a MFR10 to achieve higher tensile strength and puncture resistance, better protecting palletized cargo.

Composite substrates. As the middle or core layer of a multi-layer composite film, they provide structural support and strength. Co-extruded with other materials (such as PE, PA) to achieve barrier and freshness-preserving properties.

Other Application Fields

  1. Injection Molding

Household Appliances: Chairs, baskets, storage bins, hangers, trash cans, etc.

Kitchenware: Microwaveable lunch boxes, food containers, and water bottles (must meet food-grade requirements).

Automotive Parts: Battery housings, fans, guard plates, interior trim, etc.

Toys: Building blocks, models, etc.

  1. Extrusion

Sheets and Sheets: Used for billboards, trunk liners, industrial padding, etc. They can be further processed into various shapes through thermoforming.

Pipes: Pipes and conduits used to transport certain chemical fluids.

Fiber-grade polypropylene with a melt index of 10 can be used to produce polypropylene fibers for carpets, nonwovens, and other applications.

  1. Blow Molding

Hollow Containers: Used to create larger containers such as chemical barrels, water tanks, and storage cans. PPH MFR10 resin provides excellent melt strength, ensuring parison stability during the blow molding process.
