PA14D PPR is a random copolymer polypropylene resin for pipes produced by PetroChina Daqing Petrochemical. This resin is specifically developed for hot and cold pressure PPR pipes, produced using a mature loop polymerization process. It boasts strong batch stability and wide processing adaptability, perfectly meeting the mass production needs of water supply and drainage pipes for residential and commercial applications. PA14D PPR resin is compatible with most domestic single-screw extrusion pipe production lines, allowing for direct production without adjusting equipment parameters. Furthermore, PetroChina PA14D polypropylene resin meets the hygiene and safety standards for drinking water transmission and distribution pipes. It does not migrate harmful substances, making it a green and environmentally friendly pipe raw material that can be safely used in the production of drinking water transmission pipelines.

PetroChina PA14D Core Performance Parameters

  1. Basic physicochemical parameters. Melt flow rate 0.26~0.33g/10min (230℃/2.16kg), density 0.90g/cm³, melting point approximately 143℃, Vicat softening temperature 125~130℃. Its excellent heat resistance makes it suitable for conventional hot water pipeline applications.
  2. Stable mechanical properties. Tensile yield strength is 24.7 MPa, flexural modulusis711 MPa, and impact strength of a simply supported beam at 23℃ (room temperature) can be 68 kJ/m². It possesses good rigidity and impact resistance. The pipe is not prone to cracking or deformation after forming, able to withstand routine installation impacts and daily operating pressure.
  3. Aging and corrosion resistance. The oxidation induction period at 210℃ can reach 43 minutes, demonstrating excellent thermal oxidation resistance. It is not prone to aging and embrittlement under long-term hot water circulation conditions. Simultaneously, it is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion and detergent corrosion. The smooth inner wall of the pipe is not prone to scaling or algae growth, ensuring unobstructed pipeline flow for long-term use.
  4. Durability meets standards. Passing an 8760-hour long-term thermostatic hydraulic durability test, it meets the requirement of a 50-year service life under normal operating conditions of 70℃ and 1 MPa.
  5. Excellent processing performance. Uniform and stable melt flow, smooth extrusion molding, easy control of pipe wall thickness, excellent hot-melt welding performance, strong butt welding. All the performances can effectively reducethe probability of pipeline leakage, and high yield rate in mass production.

Main applications of Daqing PA14D PPR Pipe Grade Resin

  1. Residential piping. Production of hot and cold water supply pipes for kitchens and bathrooms in ordinary residences and affordable housing, including main and branch pipes.
  2. Commercial piping. Water supply and drainage networks for mass-produced high-end residential buildings, apartments, rental properties, and small to medium-sized commercial projects.
  3. Supporting equipment piping. Hot water delivery pipes for solar water heaters, and conventional water supply pipes for small water purification equipment.
  4. PPR pipe fittings production. Raw material for standard PPR injection molding pipe fittings such as elbows, tees, straight fittings, and pipe caps.
  5. Industrial low-pressure piping. Pipelines for low-pressure industrial water supply and drainage at normal temperature, and for transporting slightly corrosive dilute solutions.
