Sinopec YGH-041T PE100 is a base resin for black high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pressure pipes. It is a high-performance product developed by Shanghai Petrochemical, leveraging the bimodal polyethylene process technology introduced from Borostal, combined with independent research and development optimization. Its core positioning is to meet the pipeline manufacturing needs of high-pressure, high-reliability scenarios. Specifically tailored for black HDPE100 pipe materials, it contains uniformly dispersed fine carbon black particles and carefully selected reliable stabilizers, ensuring long-term stability and weather resistance of the pipe material from the source. As PE100 grade HDPE granules, its long-term hydrostatic strength (MRS) reaches 10MPa, meeting international authoritative standards and satisfying the performance requirements for 50 years of long-term use. It is an ideal material choice for critical infrastructure such as municipal water supply and gas transmission.

This product adopts a bimodal molecular weight distribution design, combining high strength and high toughness, achieving a balanced performance advantage of rigidity and toughness. Its density (base resin) is 949 kg/m³, tensile yield stress is 23 MPa, elongation at break exceeds 600%, and its impact strength in a simply supported beam at 23℃ reaches a non-destructive level, enabling it to withstand mechanical stress and external impacts in complex environments. More notably, it boasts excellent crack resistance, with an environmental stress cracking resistance exceeding 10,000 hours, and superior resistance to rapid crack propagation (RCP) and slow crack growth (SCG). Using Sinopec YGH-041T PE100 can effectively prevent crack propagation caused by impacts from hard objects and soil friction during pipeline construction and use, ensuring the long-term safe operation of the pipeline system.

Simultaneously, it possesses excellent chemical stability, being insoluble in most organic solvents at room temperature and resistant to corrosion from various chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and salts. Therefore, it is suitable for pipelines transporting corrosive media such as industrial wastewater and chemical raw materials.

The melt flow index of Sinopec YGH-041T PE100 (0.4g/10min at 190℃ and 5kg) gives it low sag during processing, resulting in good flowability and formability. What Are Main Applications of HDPE YGH-041T?

In municipal engineering, this product is primarily used in urban water supply networks and gas transmission pipelines. Its excellent pressure-bearing and crack-resistant properties effectively reduce water supply losses and the risk of gas leaks. It can also be used in non-pressure pipelines such as double-wall corrugated pipes and hollow-wall spiral wound pipes, as well as in public service applications such as agricultural irrigation pipes.
