What Are Main Applications of Lotrene TR-131 MDPE?

Consumer packaging bags. Supermarket shopping bags, T-shirt bags, tote bags, fruit and vegetable preservation bags, etc.

Sanitation storage bags. Thickened garbage bags, industrial storage bags, property sanitation bags. Utilizing excellent impact resistance and tensile strength, they can withstand heavy objects and both dry and wet waste without easily breaking or leaking.

Functional packaging films. Food packaging films, multi-layer co-extruded heat-sealing films, lightweight industrial packaging films. Based on food-grade compliance attributes and superior heat-sealing performance, they meet the requirements for packaging sealing and safe use.

Lotrene TR-131 achieves a golden balance of toughness, impact resistance, and tear resistance. Its high-molecular-weight hexene copolymer structure ensures the film is neither too stiff and brittle nor too soft and easily deformed. Its ultra-high lateral tear strength is suitable for heavy-duty and tensile applications in packaging bags. Its impact resistance can withstand damage from external forces during daily handling and compression, significantly extending the product’s lifespan.

TR-131 MDPE has a wide processing temperature range, suitable for molding temperatures of 190–225℃. It is compatible with conventional equipment with screw compression ratios of 3.8–4.2, offering high equipment compatibility.

Lotrene TR-131 MDPE strictly complies with US FDA 21CFR 177.1520 food contact standards. It can be used for general consumer packaging as well as direct contact with fresh produce and food materials, making it suitable for high-end compliant scenarios such as food packaging and supermarket fresh food bags. The resin also possesses excellent chemical resistance, withstanding common acids, alkalis, and daily chemical reagents, broadening its applicability.

Lotrene TR-131 can be blended and modified with LLDPE, HDPE, and other raw materials, and can also be adapted to processes such as calcium carbonate filling and carbon black color matching, meeting diverse production needs. Furthermore, its excellent low-temperature heat-sealing performance, with a sealing temperature of only 108℃, ensures a tight seal and prevents leaks, making it a high-quality raw material for the heat-sealing inner layer of multilayer co-extruded films.

In terms of finished film performance, the 0.025mm standard film boasts a dart impact strength of 165g, a Spencer impact strength of 0.35J, and a transverse tear strength of up to 350g and a longitudinal tear strength of 30g. This perfectly addresses the shortcomings of ordinary films, such as easy tearing and poor impact resistance, giving even thin films excellent load-bearing and damage resistance.
